Does Simple Chat work with Shopify Flow?

Simple Chat's Shopify support is built around the app itself, Shopify data, and optional integrations such as ShipHero. Shopify Flow is not required for the core support automation described on this site.

What powers core support automation

You do not need to build Flow workflows to get the main product working.

  • The Simple Chat app — widget, inbox, AI, tools, monitoring, and staff handoff.
  • Shopify data — products, orders, customers, policies, and related synced context.
  • Optional integrations — for example ShipHero when you need warehouse-level fulfillment detail.

Install, configure tools and instructions, and run support from the dashboard without a parallel Flow dependency.

How Shopify Flow relates (if you already use it)

Some merchants run Shopify Flow for separate automations (metafields, tags, internal ops). Simple Chat does not depend on those flows for the automation marketed here.

  • Flow may coexist on your store for other apps or custom pipelines.
  • Core Simple Chat behavior—answering customers, using enabled tools, monitoring, escalation—does not require you to maintain Flow triggers for the app to function.

If you use Flow today, you can keep it for non-chat workflows; it is not a prerequisite to adopt Simple Chat support automation.
