Simple Chat includes Shopify native product subscriptions: selling plans with delivery frequencies and optional recurring discounts, subscription contracts (pause, resume, skip, change cadence, bill the next cycle, send a payment-update email), a customer-account management page, storefront purchase options, billing retry settings, and migration from selling plans and contracts owned by another app.
How do subscription apps charge compared with Simple Chat?
They charge a monthly platform fee and then take a percentage of each subscription order. Bold lists $24.99/mo + 2%. Recharge Starter lists $99/mo + 1.49% + $0.19. Can I migrate off Recharge or Bold?
Yes. Simple Chat can recreate selling plans owned by another app and import Shopify's standard subscription-contracts.csv. Pause billing in the source app before importing so the old app and Simple Chat do not both bill the same customer. Keep the source payment methods available until you verify the new contracts.
