How long does setup take?
Basic chat setup takes a few minutes: install Simple Chat, enable its app embed in your Shopify theme, and save. You can start onboarding immediately while your basic product catalog imports in the background. The setup agent helps you tailor the assistant and choose additional data sources.
Before going live, open the widget on your storefront and try a few product and policy questions. Check that the answers match your store.
Allow more time if you're connecting email, configuring order tools, or adding detailed instructions. You can update those settings whenever you need to. If you're testing on a draft theme, remember to enable the embed on the theme you publish.
