What makes Simple Chat different from other chat apps?
Two things: it knows your store, and it can act.
Most chat apps treat every website the same. Simple Chat is organized around Shopify support work, which changes what the assistant can see, what it's allowed to do, and how you keep it current as your store changes.
It answers from what your team would use
Store data, customer context, orders, fulfillment status, policies, FAQs, and your merchant instructions. When a shopper asks about a variant, a policy paragraph, or an order, the assistant works from synced store content and enabled tools, not from generic training about online stores in general. That grounding cuts down on vague or invented replies exactly where they'd hurt most.
It can do things, not just talk
With the right tools enabled, Simple Chat can look up orders, check tracking, modify shipping addresses, propose replacements for staff approval, add products to cart, collect structured forms, schedule follow-ups, and hand off to staff with context attached.
Fewer dead ends, in other words. A bot that says "contact support" for every order question isn't support; it's a signpost.
No flowcharts to maintain
You configure all of this in plain English. Change a return window, add a product line, tighten your escalation rules, and the work is editing instructions and tool settings. There's no brittle tree of branches to rebuild every time your theme or catalog changes.
